In the first 5 weeks of 2021 compared with the first 5 weeks of 2022 we have seen an increase in rabbit admissions here of 380%. We want to continue to have our doors open to all small animals in need, however, we need your help to do so.
The next challenge we seem to be facing is space!
We currently have a waiting list of animals needing to come in to the rescue and more messages coming in daily, the hardest part of rescue is saying no!
We did say we didn’t have enough energy left to do this but would appear we do, or are just completely crazy!
We feel we have a duty of care to these rodents, rabbits and all other kinds of small animals to do our best by offering them a second chance.
We are creating a second building – this building will allow us to double our rabbit/guinea pig intake, as well as free up space to make more room for rodent housing.
We need to raise £5,000 to do so!
All types of help and donations no matter how small will make a big difference, we couldn’t do this without our supporters and we are eternally grateful for your support.
We are desperate to add rabbit fosterers to our wonderful team of fosterers.
Do you have a fox proof secure indoor or outdoor enclosure that you use to foster a bunny or two?
We need to aim that these housing meet RWAF Standards as we don’t know how long these bunnies will be with us/you
You will need to have experience in rabbit care. You must be able to drive to our vets in Kidderminster if the animals ever need to be seen by our vets.
Over 18s only.
Home owners or landlords permission required.
You will need to be able to commit long term to fostering.
This is a request for fosters who can join our dedicated team long term. We are not seeking short term emergency fosters.
Fostering is a huge commitment but incredibly rewarding and paramount to us being able to help as many animals as possible.
